Recipes to Make with dōTERRA Oils | Frani Pisano

Are you still in quarantine cooking mode? Whether you’ve had to return to working outside the home or if you’re staying close to home longer due to the new coronavirus pandemic, the recent shelter-in-place order inspired a blitzkrieg of baking and cooking among many of us. Did you know that you can make some recipes using dōTERRA oils? You don’t need to use a lot of the oil(s) to pack a flavorful punch because dōTERRA’s oils are so concentrated.

Here are a few inspired ideas that will get you back in the kitchen asap:

Strawberry Lemonade Yogurt Bark

Here’s a summery recipe that fits in perfectly with warmer temperatures. The ingredients:

1 large container plain Greek yogurt

2 cups freshly cut strawberries

1–2 drops Lemon essential oil

Add 1 to 2 drops of Lemon oil to Greek yogurt and stir thoroughly. Spread yogurt on a pan lined with parchment paper. Cut the strawberries into medium sections and place them on the yogurt. Freeze for 3 to 4 hours. When finished, remove the bark from the pan, peel off the parchment paper, and break into pieces. Store remaining pieces in the freezer.

Peppermint Black Bean Brownies

For a healthier version of brownies, give this recipe a try. Here are the ingredients:

1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed

2 large eggs

¼ cup cocoa powder

⅔ cup honey

⅓ cup coconut oil

½ teaspoon baking powder

Pinch of salt

2–4 drops Peppermint essential oil (however, you also could experiment with using Wild Orange, Cinnamon, or Lavender essential oil)

¾ cup chocolate chips, divided

Preheat oven to 350° F. Place all ingredients except for the chocolate chips in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Pour the batter into large bowl and stir in ½ cup chocolate chips. Pour into a greased 8 x 8-inch pan and top with ¼ cup chocolate chips. Bake 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Rosemary Lemon Hummus

This hummus offers a flavor twist with the oils used. Enjoy the hummus with pita chips, pita bread, crackers, or vegetables.

1 can organic garbanzo beans (½ liquid drained)

2 garlic cloves, peeled

2 tablespoons organic cold pressed olive oil

2 tablespoons tahini

Juice of ½ lemon

2 drops Lemon essential oil

1 drop Rosemary essential oil

1 teaspoon sea salt

Blend all ingredients in food processor until smooth. Chill in the refrigerator 30 minutes.

Fresh Caprese Salad

Here’s a summery salad that’s easy to make. For best results, reserve the oil and vinegar mix for dipping or put it on immediately before serving:

½ cup tomatoes

¼ cup mozzarella cheese balls

2–3 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

1–2 drops Basil essential oil

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Place tomatoes and cheese in bowl. In a jar or small bowl, mix the balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Mix in the Basil oil, adjusting drops as needed. Pour the oil and vinegar mixture over tomatoes and cheese.
