The essential oils and cleaning products from dōTERRA can be your friends in a quest to get your home as clean as can be this spring. Here are a few spots you may have missed with your spring cleaning—and info on the right oil or cleaner to help.
Your washing machine. Mix Lemon essential oil, baking soda, vinegar, and water through an empty machine on its hottest setting. This will help break up dirt and mildew that has built up. Scrub, and then run the machine again with fresh water.
Your trash cans. Spray the inside and outside of each can with water, Lemon oil, and vinegar. Scrub with a sponge.
Fridge and microwave cleaner. Mix a cup of white vinegar, two cups of hot water, and 15 drops of Lemon oil. Place the mix in a spray bottle, and spray the mix in the fridge or microwave. Scrub and wipe.
Mirrors and glass surfaces. Mix together 1½ cup of white vinegar, ½ cup of distilled water, and 8 drops of a citrus essential oil (such as Lemon, Lime, or Grapefruit). Add the ingredients to a spray bottle and shake.
Air vents. Clean vents with a sponge dipped in warm water, vinegar and Lemon oil to help eliminate allergens and dust from filling the air around you.
